My Sunday Reset Routine: Cleaning, Skincare, and Setting Intentions Like a Queen

Sundays aren’t just the end of the weekend; they’re my personal reboot button. It’s the day I take back my time, clean my space, pamper my skin, and get my mind right for the week ahead. This isn’t a “just get it over with” routine. This is my queen energy ritual. Every step is about reclaiming control, creating calm, and showing up for myself like I mean it.

Here’s how I reset my Sundays and start the week strong.

1. Morning Mindset: No Rush, Just Rhythm

I let myself wake up naturally, no alarms, no guilt. The pace is slow. Coffee or matcha in hand, I sit in silence or read for 15–20 minutes. No scrolling. No checking emails. Just letting my mind come online in peace.

  • Journal for 5 minutes: one thing I’m grateful for, one thing I’m letting go of, and one intention for the day.
  • Pull a card from an affirmation or tarot deck for reflection.

2. Clean Sweep: Resetting My Space

A clean space clears the mental fog. I don’t deep clean every Sunday, but I reset the environment:

  • Change the bedsheets.
  • Vacuum or sweep.
  • Wipe down surfaces, especially my bathroom and kitchen.
  • Declutter the random stuff that piles up (mail, receipts, water bottles, etc.).

I light a candle or put on a playlist to make it feel less like a chore, more like a vibe.

3. Skincare Ritual: Spa Vibes at Home

Once my space is reset, I turn the focus inward. I don’t rush through skincare; I enjoy it. This is the part where I treat myself like royalty.

My go-to steps:

  • Double cleanse (because the week left a lot on my face).
  • Exfoliate or use a mask (detox or hydration, depending on what my skin needs).
  • Facial steam if I’m feeling extra luxurious.
  • Tone, serum, moisturise.
  • Ice roller and gua sha to de-puff and sculpt.

Bonus: I set the mood with soft music or a guided meditation while masking.

4. Mindful Meals: Nourishment Over Noise

I prep or plan at least 2–3 meals for the week. Not a full-on meal prep session just enough to reduce stress and keep me eating well. Think:

  • Overnight oats or smoothie ingredients portioned out.
  • A big salad base or roasted veggies, I can build meals around.
  • Protein cooked in bulk to mix and match.

While cooking or eating, I stay off my phone and let it be a sensory experience—smell, taste, texture. Food is fuel and pleasure.

5. Digital Detox + Inbox Zero

Before the week hits full speed, I clean out the digital clutter:

  • Delete junk emails.
  • Respond to anything urgent.
  • Review calendar and to-dos for the week.
  • Clear out browser tabs (you know there’s 20+ open right now).

It’s not about doing more, it’s about creating space to think clearly.

6. Set Intentions Like a Queen

This is my power move. I sit down and write 2–3 intentions for the week. Not goals. Intentions.

  • “I will protect my peace and not overcommit.”
  • “I will move my body with joy, not punishment.”
  • “I will speak kindly to myself, especially when I mess up.”

Then I pick a word or mantra for the week. It becomes my anchor when things get hectic.

7. Wind Down with Rituals That Recharge

As evening sets in, I keep things soft:

  • Long shower or bath with essential oils.
  • Cozy pajamas, fresh sheets, and herbal tea.
  • Light stretching or breathwork to calm the nervous system.

Sometimes I read. Sometimes I journal again. But I always go to bed early, phone off, lights low. The reset is complete.

You Deserve a Reset

Your Sunday reset doesn’t have to look like mine. The point isn’t perfection, it’s intention. It’s about choosing to care for yourself in a way that sets the tone for everything else.

You don’t need permission to take up space, clean your energy, and show up like the queen you are. You just need to make the time and protect it like it matters.

Because it does.
